Touraine An asylum seeker on hunger strike in Rennes
03/03/2011 5:27
yesterday on the sidelines of the press conference regarding the case of Zulbadam Baasandorj (read below above), Education Without Borders Network and Christian migrants have mentioned the case of Misha Schaveshian.
For political and ethno-religious, the latter fled Armenia in 2005, with his Azerbaijani wife and their first child.
Because of his health problems, Misha Schaveshian received a residence permit for foreigners patients until 2010.
"It has ceased to multiply the steps from the prefecture to try to rectify the situation and ensure a decent life for his family," say his supporters, who point out that children, ages 7 and 5 years are in school.
Interrogated, Misha Schaveshian is now at the detention center at Rennes since February 25 and within the scope of an obligation to leave French territory.
"Today, he is desperate, no longer believes in nothing and decided to do a hunger strike. For him, back in Armenia is inconceivable, "says the association Christian migrants, who circulated a petition of support.
